Lost without you

Just b&w until I figure out how to do the lighting for this one. It's supposed to be in darkness with the exception of a night-light. If anyone has any suggestions/tutorials they would like to give me so I'm able to do this it would be highly appreciated.
(Drawn FOREVER ago)This is for my story I've already said a little about and also my attempt to portait the feelings I get whenever I see a picture of a beloved person in my life who has passed on. I can't really describe it verbally, but I'm so compelled by seeing their photos I literally will not be able to look away from it until I'm pulled away. I tried to give her the same feelings of awe and sadness, but I'm not sure whether I've succeeded or not.
